Women march for International Day to End Violence Against Women
Women across French speaking Switzerland marched over the weekend demanding they can use the streets in the same way as men.
Yesterday was the International Day to End Violence Against Women.
Many of those marching say they have to choose routes and times of day to walk the streets and complain about regular harassment they get from men.
Around 1,000 marched in Geneva and several hundred in Fribourg.
The mayor of Geneva, Sami Kanaan, joined the march, and says the city is working on an action plan to make the streets safe for women.
