Geneva calls on government members to resign after scandal
Around 100 people gathered outside the city of Geneva’s parliament building yesterday, calling on members of the government to resign following an expenses scandal.
Geneva prosecutors have launched a criminal investigation into the issue which alleges government members misused credit cards.
One government member, Guillaume Barazzone, has already paid back CHF 50,000 and says he confused his government credit card with his personal card.
The Mayor, Sami Kanaan, says the people are right to be upset.
