Lucerne capsule hotel closes after first week
A novel capsule hotel in Lucerne has closed only after a week.
Despite press reports that suggest bookings were strong, the hotel is not taking any bookings for the moment.
The capsule idea is an import from Japan – and costs are low. Between CHF 35-60 a night. It’s the only hotel of its type in the country.
While there is no official reason for the closure, it’s thought it’s because not all capsules have a window – which they are supposed to have.
There’s no news on when it may reopen.
