Distraction reported as biggest cause of road accidents
The biggest cause of fatal and serious road accidents is simple distraction – and younger drivers are more likely to be distracted.
That’s according to a new report from the Accident Prevention Bureau.
On average there are three either killed or seriously injured on the country’s roads every day. And inattention is the most likely cause.
Men and women are equally likely to be distracted, but those under 24 are more likely.
