Police say Zurich FC fans started to riot by throwing stones and fireworks when at the train station close to the Sankt Gallen stadium.

Police responded with rubber bullets and pepper spray. Three officers were injured.

The special train laid on for supporters was so badly damaged, a replacement had to be brought in.

It was another 2 hours before more than 1,000 Zurich supporters were able to go home.
