Commission finds UN trade sanctions not complied with
A parliamentary commission says not enough is being done to make sure the country complies with UN sanctions.
The Business Review Commission says there needs to be tougher punishments for those who try to trade with countries under sanctions.
It recommends fines and travel restrictions.
Despite the report, the commission says it has found no evidence of systematic evasion of sanctions. But more of a lack of control, and at times insufficient information sharing between agencies.
