Disgruntled Swiss pilot goes against communication protocol
A pilot for Swiss International Airlines is being criticized by air traffic controllers in Zurich for unprofessional behavior when he got angry about a delay and switched to Swiss German on the radio.
Air traffic control communications are supposed to be in English.
He said – roughly translated, ‘I’m so fed up with this damp boggy place, I want to puke’.
The controller responded with a sarcastic ‘very professional’.
A spokeswoman for Swiss says it shows the pilot was interested in a punctual departure and it's only human to be annoyed.
