An 18-year-old woman and a 56-year-old man haven’t been seen since the Sonne restaurant in Oberriet in canton Sankt Gallen burnt to the ground on Sunday.

Although bodies have been found, they’re too badly burnt for identification. Family members of the suspected victims have given DNA tests to assist investigators.

The man rented a flat above the restaurant and the woman was visiting her boyfriend who also lived above.

Locals are in no doubt who the victims are. Neither have been seen since the fire and both are regular faces in the town.
