A scientist working at Cern in Geneva has been suspended after he claimed there was no such thing as female discrimination in physics as the field was ‘invented and built by men’.

The senior physicist from the University of Pisa, Alessandro Strumia, used a power point presentation with graphs and mathematical formula to prove his point.

Strumia told the Associated Press that he doesn’t believe men are better at physics than women. He says he wanted to show there isn’t any discrimination.

Cern says the presentation is ’unacceptable in any professional context’.
