Bernese farm puts up signs in Arabic to stop tourists entering the house
A farm in the Bernese Oberland has had to put up signs in Arabic to stop tourists from wandering into the house.

It’s a private farm and the home of the Kipfer family. But for years tourists from mainly Saudi Arabia have visited the area to see the fruit farms, attracted by positive reviews on Arabic travel sites.
But some seem to think the whole area is one big attraction. The family says they have had to stop people walking into their living room.
The local tourist office in Interaken certainly doesn’t want to stop people from coming to the area and have paid for the Arabic signs to be put up outside the house.
The signs make it clear the house and the farm is private property. The Kipfer’s say since the signs were put up at the beginning of the season, there’s been a big change and tourists are turning back.
