Geneva protest march for sign-language support
Around 400 marched in Geneva on Saturday to demand more support for those who use sign-language.
It was the international day of sign-language over the weekend. Many on the march pointed out the problems sign-language users can face, using role play.
The march went to the hospital to highlight how many deaf people struggle to get themselves understood when talking to doctors.
Medical staff met protestors at the doors and welcomed the awareness raising march.
The mayor of Geneva, Sami Kanaan, spoke at the end of the march and promised there would be more cantonal support for sign language users.
