The Federal Commission on Alcohol Issues says men should not have more than 2 glasses of alcohol a day and women 1.

The new guidelines are a glass lower than the previous recommendations set in 2015.

The commission also recommends having at least 2 completely free alcohol days a week.

The limits apply to everyone over the legal drinking age of 16.

The experts also say we should avoid binge drinking – that’s defined at having more than five glasses for men and 4 for women a day.
