Iran tells Swiss audience country will continue to respect nuclear deal
The Iranian president says the country will continue to respect the agreement it’s signed with other countries about its nuclear programme, provided its interests are maintained.
Hassan Rouhani was speaking in Bern at the end of an official visit to the country.
But he also warned Iran would disrupt oil exports from other countries in the region if it is stopped from selling its own oil by the United States.
It has in the past threatened to block the Hormuz Strait through which much of the world’s oil flow.
But the meeting in Bern went well. The two countries agreed to continue and deepen economic and political relations.
