Donkey killer hunter has to pay thousands in damages
The Geneva hunter who shot and killed 4 donkeys near the village of Arith in Haute Savoie – claiming he thought they were deer - will have to pay EUR 30,000 in damages.
He has also lost his hunting licence for three years and had to hand over his rifle.
The French court decided he should have been aware he was firing at donkeys. The man told the court he was tired and in a state of confusion after his girlfriend left him.
