SVP says it has enough signatures to launch free movement vote
The Swiss People’s Party says it has collected enough signatures to end free movement of people with the EU.
The party’s president, Albert Rösti, was talking to the Blick newspaper.
He says they have 125,000 signatures – which still need to be verified - and they were easy to collect.
He claims border cantons were the easiest to get signatures from. Such as Geneva, Vaud, Basel-City and Ticino as there are worries about cross border workers undercutting wages.
