Fewer youngsters are bothering to get a driving licence.

Figures released yesterday by the Federal Roads Office shows the number of people taking the test fell by 3% for ages between 18 and 24 – with the decline especially noticeable in males.

But driving is less popular in all age groups – overall 2% fewer people got a licence last year than the year before.

But still, most have a licence in Switzerland. 92% of men and 76% of women can drive.
