Cars swept away by avalanche
Three people have been airlifted to hospital after their cars were swept away by an avalanche on top of the Klausen Pass in canton Uri.
Snow crashed across the road on Sunday, dragging the cars more than 100 meters down the road.
The pass is 2,000 meters high and only re-opened for traffic a few days ago. Police say the heavy amount of snow across the whole of the winter means there’s still a major avalanche risk in several areas.
The victims are in hospital being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
