Voters will be asked to ban pesticides
Voters will be asked if they want to ban synthetic pesticides after the campaign group Future 3.0 collected more than 100,000 signatures.
The move will call for the banning of all synthetic pesticides as well as importing food which may have been produced with pesticides.
Over 2,000 tonnes of the chemicals are used every year.
But farmers are not happy – some say the move will be too restrictive and expensive.
But it’s not just farms that will be affected. Swiss Federal Railways use pesticides to keep tracks clear.
There’s no date yet for when the vote will happen – but the government will have 10 years to implement the move if approved.
