Switzerland calls form restraint after US Iran deal pull out
The Swiss foreign ministry is calling for restraint on all sides after the US president Donald Trump says he is going to pull out of the Iran nuclear deal.
In a statement to Swiss news agencies, the ministry says cooperation should continue and notes Switzerland will continue to apply sanctions under UN resolutions.
But the future is now uncertain for Swiss companies that have signed deals with Iranian firms.
Switzerland has represented the US diplomatically in the country since 1980.
