The men saw the dog struggling in the Emmen River in Lucerne. They decided to help and leapt in. They immediately got into trouble. Bystanders called the police – which then had to haul out the men.

They were taken to hospital suffering from hypothermia.

The dog escaped the river with no help and is fine.
