Turkish consulate hit with petrol bombs
The Turkish consulate in Zurich has been hit by petrol bombs. A group called Barrikade admitted to the attack – saying on their website it’s in response to Turkish action in Afrin – a Kurdish area in Syria.
The group says it hopes the move will strengthen resistance to Turkish military action against the Kurds.
The attack didn’t cause any serious damage, merely leaving scorch marks on the wall of the building.
Zurich City Police are investigating – the consulate is not making any comments to the press.
