Swiss arms maker markets German WWII weapons
Swiss anti-gun groups are outraged at a new advert from gun maker ‘Swiss Arms’ which is selling replica weapons used by the German army during the Second World War.
The advert is in their latest catalogue, listed under the heading of ‘Living History’. The company is offering a sub-machine gun and an assault rifle dated from the 1940s.
A spokesman for the group ‘Switzerland without an Army’ says the advertising is unacceptable – but the pro-gun group, ‘Pro-Tell’ says it can’t see what the problem is – they’re simply products from the past.
The manufacturer refused to comment.
