New VIP space opened at Geneva airport
Geneva airport has unveiled a new space – especially for VIPs. Or even, VVIPs.
The new area is designed for heads of state, royalty and other senior dignitaries.
Not only is it well equipped, it’s also highly secure.
The director of Geneva airport, André Schneider, says such an area is vital for the city which has many important visitors a year.
Just this weekend, the airport will welcome three heads of state and the UN Secretary General.
Schneider says the airport is funding the new space, but it has been designed with input from the Swiss Embassy to the UN, the Federal Foreign Affairs Department, the United Nations and the Geneva cantonal government.
