Swiss intelligence agency vital link in Europe terror fight
The Swiss Intelligence Service is continuing to grow and is an essential unit in the fight against terrorism in Europe.
A spokeswoman for the service says information sharing with other European and international intelligence services is climbing – up 25% from last year.
Also the government has boosted its budget by 4% - now at CHF 75m a year.
17 more agents have been employed this year and another 23 places are to be filled.
The vast majority of the agency’s work is terror related.
