Government backed charter for brothels

Canton Fribourg is bringing in a charter of ethics for its brothels. The charter will be posted on the walls of businesses.

The initiative was launched by the Federal Council in 2015. The government announced it didn’t want to ban prostitution, but did want to solve some of the problems associated with it.

The charter says no underage workers, prostitutes are free to refuse to do anything that makes them uncomfortable and condoms must always be used.

The charter is available in several languages. As well as the national languages it’s also published in English, Spanish, and Romanian.
