Broadcasting chief says change needs to happen
The head of the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation says he is open to all suggestions on how to change.
Voters will decide if the CHF 451 annual charge on all households should be abolished on March 4th.
Jean-Michel Cina says there will be ‘no taboos’ in discussions on changing.
He says the corporation needs to adapt to attract younger people who are now spending more of their time using online services.
He says they need to engage with private broadcasters. Some complain the state run organization takes valuable advertising revenue.
Latest polls suggest the initiative to abolish the fee will fail.
