Cyclists banned from leaving bikes on Hardbrücke in Zurich
Zurich cyclists are warned that from today, parking a bike on the Hardbrücke is banned.
For years the bridge has been a place cyclists have been able to leave their bikes while at work or shopping – sometimes for several days.
All that will change from today and the police are warning bikes are at risk of being taken away. Bikes can no longer be left on the bridge, except at official bike parks – and then only for 48 hours.
A new bike park has been opened under the bridge where they can be left for up to a month.
It will mean a change in routine for hundreds of Zurich commuters.
