Police stop woman giving coffee to homeless man in Nyon
A woman in Nyon is angry at the local police as they stopped her from giving breakfast to a homeless man.
She told the 20 Minutes newspaper the man was on a bench in the town and she decided to buy him a coffee and a croissant. When she came out of the shop the man was being questioned by the police. They stopped her from giving the coffee as they said begging is illegal and she could be punished.
Later the police confirmed that giving a beggar something is not illegal.
