11 year old fakes car accident to avoid school
An 11 year old boy in Lucerne may face charges after inventing a car accident to avoid going to school.
The boy normally cycles to school and last month when he arrived he complained of back pain as he said he had been hit by a car in the town of Sursee.
He was taken to hospital for checks and the police were called. He told them the car was dark and had either Basel or Bern plates.
The police say they were immediately suspicious of his story and under further questioning the boy admitted he had made it all up.
The case is now in the hands of a prosecutor specializing in youth crimes.
