Skywork rescued by investor cash injection
The airline Skywork has been given a lifeline by investors and will keep flying for the next 12 months at least.
The airline had been grounded for three days after its licence to operate expired. The Civil Aviation Office refused to renew it as it believed the company’s financial health was not secure.
But new investors have injected cash which will allow it to run its winter schedule.
The airline is based out of the small Bern airport and serves cities in Germany, the UK and Austria. Last year it had 140,000 passengers.
