National News // Oct. 27, 2017

There’s been another accident on a Swiss autoroute caused by a driver traveling in the wrong direction.

Only last week there was a crash for the same reason near Sankt Gallen.

The latest incident is in Ticino. Two cars collided head-on on the A2 near Lugano. The two drivers were both seriously injured.

It’s likely there will be more calls for an examination of road layouts to make sure this stops happening.

In German, there’s actually a word for people driving in the wrong direction – Geisterfahrer, or Ghost Driver.
