Train disruption to Geneva this weekend
Major engineering work will disrupt trains from Lausanne to Geneva airport this weekend – and special bus services will be laid on.
On Saturday and Sunday there will be shuttles running every 15 minutes from the train stations along the affected route.
The work is due to the laying of a fourth line between Lausanne and Geneva and will be focused on the Renens train station. 200 workers will replace 200 meters of track and move 600 cubic meters of earth.
Train staff will be available to help passengers and anyone planning to take the train to the airport is advised to check details first and allow extra time to get there.
