Gold bars to be given to commune
Two gold bars worth CHF 100,000 are to be given to the commune where they were found in 2012.
The bars were discovered by communal workers hidden in bushes, wrapped in silk in the village of Klingnau in canton Aargau.
Police have tried to determine the owner – but with no success.
The law says if property is unclaimed within five years – it will be given to the finder. In this case, as the people who found the gold were working for the commune – that is the official finder.
But the workers will get a 10% cut.
