Zurich rattled by sonic boom
A sonic boom rattled Zurich yesterday morning as Swiss FA18s were scrambled to intercept a business jet enroute to Ireland which had lost radio contact.
The plane had taken off from Venice.
The Swiss jets were already in the air on a training mission over Graubünden, but were rerouted north.
The business jet was shadowed until it reached French airspace when it regained contact with the ground.
