Equatorial Guinea plane stuck in Geneva
A plane owned by the government of Equatorial Guinea remains stuck on the tarmac at Geneva airport due to a legal dispute with the French telecom operator Orange.
The Telecom company claims Equatorial Guinea owes them EUR 90m and asked a Swiss court to seize the plane back in June. The court has now decided the claim has nothing to do with Switzerland and should be released.
But the plane will stay where it is as Orange is to appeal.
Lawyers on each side of the case refuse to comment.
