Low plane tears roof tiles off house in Geneva
A low flying Boeing 777 landing at Geneva airport tore the tiles off the roof of a house in Genthod.
The plane was about 200 meters above the house – which is not unusual in the village, which is used to aircraft noise.
The airport says the phenomenon is known, but very unusual. It happens when high-pressure air vortices form below the plane.
Fortunately, no one was hurt, although the home owners were in the house at the time. Including a three-year-old.
The airport will pay for the damage.
