Use of fireworks at stadiums is banned in Switzerland - but that doesn’t seem to stop some people.

In this instance, a firework injured a fellow supporter –causing him hearing loss – and damaged property.

The 23 year old also has to pay CHF 10,000 in damages and another CHF 12,000 in compensation.

The firework exploded during a game between Lucerne and Sankt Gallen in February last year.

During a search of the accused’s home, police found over 1,500 fireworks.

The man has also been banned from all Swiss stadiums for 10 years.
