Woman’s body recovered from Lake Zug
The body of a 32-year-old woman has been recovered from a lake in central Switzerland, a day after she was last seen in the water.
Emergency services were alerted after the woman disappeared in Lake Zug, at Hünenberg in the canton of Zug, late on Wednesday afternoon. An extensive search failed to find the woman and it was assumed that she had drowned.
Divers continued their search yesterday. An underwater team from the canton of Schwyz finally found the woman’s body at a depth of four metres in the lake. It’s not known how the woman got into difficulties.
