Islamic extremist arrested in Geneva after two year investigation
A joint operation with French and Swiss intelligence services and Geneva police has led to the arrest of a 40 year old man in Geneva suspected of helping people to travel to Syria to fight for IS.
A spokesman for the Federal Prosecutors Office confirmed a two year investigation has led to the arrest of a man in Meyrin.
He’s also linked to attacks in Belgium.
He’s charged with helping banned organsiations, Islamic State and Al-Qaeda, and recruiting Islamic fighters from Geneva. He’s also suspected of raising money for Islamic extremists.
