Selling alcohol at autoroute service stations has come a step closer after the lower house of parliament voted through a bill put forward by the transport office.

It still needs to be voted on by the senate.

Alcohol sales at service stations have been banned for 50 years, but the owners say they’re being discriminated against as a stop just by an exit is free to sell beer and wine.
