Swiss foreign minister sends condolences to London
The Swiss foreign minister Didier Burkhalter sent his condolences following the attack in London by text.
He wrote an SMS to his UK counterpart Boris Johnson saying ‘terrorism has once again struck the beautiful city of London’ and vowed to work together with the British government to combat all types of terror.
He added there was no information regarding any Swiss citizens caught up in the attack.
The Swiss president, Doris Leuthard also reacted by saying she was ‘shocked and appalled’ at the attack.
Three attackers armed with knives and a fake suicide vest stormed the trendy Borough Market in south London on Saturday night killing seven.
