Venezuelan ambassador confronted in Migros in Bern
The Venezuelan ambassador to Switzerland was confronted in a Migros store in Bern by an angry woman with a camera.
The ambassador was shopping with his wife and the woman shouted ‘robber’ and says he’s living well in Switzerland while his compatriots starve at home.
While continuing to film with her phone, the woman says the Venezuelan government steals money from its citizens.
The ambassador, César Méndez Gonzalez, tries to take the camera from her – but fails.
A Migros staff member later steps in to protect the couple.
The Venezuelan embassy in Bern is refusing to comment.
