Geneva crackdown on cyclists
Geneva police handed out several fines against errant cyclists yesterday. The police say they want to send a message to riders that the law applies to them as well.
Fines include riding on the sidewalk or not using a dedicated bike lane – 30 francs. Not stopping at a red light – 60 francs and taking hands off the handlebars – 20 francs.
During yesterday’s operation the police said all cyclists committing an offence will be fined.
