Not enough kids using computers in Switzerland
It seems to be a modern complaint that kids spend too much time on computers and tablets – but not in Switzerland – and that could be a problem.
Swiss IT professionals say the country is lacking home grown computer experts.
A study by the OECD says in Switzerland only 23 percent of six year olds have ever used the family computer.
In other countries, according to the survey, that number is closer to 60%.
The Swiss IT industry says computers are part of everyday life and children should be used to using them earlier.
IT professionals are also calling on schools to place more importance on computer science.
