Lucerne train services cancelled until Monday
Train services in and out of Lucerne will remain cancelled until Sunday. A train derailed on Wednesday and engineers say the damage to the lines and the overhead cables are worse than they first thought.
Investigators say they suspect a points failure led to the train jumping the tracks. One carriage overturned and seven were injured in the incident.
The stranded train has been removed, but repairs will take the rest of the weekend.
Swiss Federal Railways say they expect trains to be running normally by Monday morning.
