Bodies found in burnt house were already dead
Autopsy reports on two bodies found in a burnt house in Aargau have determined the victims were already dead before the fire.
Police say the two people – a 59 year old man and his 50 year old female partner had both died with gunshot wounds in the house in Gansingen.
The bodies have been identified with DNA analysis.
The dead were in the bedroom and a revolver was found nearby. Local prosecutors say they assume the man killed his partner and then himself. But they can’t say if the woman was killed against her will or not.
But neighbors say the woman was a cheerful person with three daughters – and feel certain she wouldn’t have wanted to die.
Investigators are still trying to work out how the fire started and what caused the explosion.
