Two more tremors hit the region

National News // March 21, 2017

Two minor earth tremors hit the region in the space of a few hours. One last night just after 10pm struck in Valais, near Martigny – and the again in Chamonix in France at 1.30 this morning.

Swiss Earthquake Service Two more tremors hit the region

Both were very weak, registering 3.3 on the Richter scale.

Small tremors are unlikely to cause any damage – but they come shortly after a 4.3 shake hit Glarus 2 weeks ago.

Such tremors occur every few years according to the Swiss Earthquake Service.
