Protestors outside French consulate in Geneva
Around 200 gathered yesterday outside the French consulate in Geneva to protest police violence in France against minorities.
While hundreds marched in Paris following the case of Theo who was raped with a police baton in a Parisian suburb – in Geneva protestors say there are cases of racial violence by Swiss police as well. Many cited the case of Hervé, a young man from Congo who was shot dead in Bex in Vaud last year.
Geneva police kept a low profile outside the consulate – with only one officer visible.
Many protestors also cited cases of police violence in the United States and says everyone needs to be on their guard in the Trump era.
