Weather change improves pollution levels in Geneva
The generally warmer weather and more wind has improved the air quality around Geneva and the pollution alert has been lifted.
At the end of last week, the canton reduced autoroute speed limits to cut the level of fine particulates in the air.
The level of pollution hit a high in the commune of Meyrin on Saturday. Monitors showed 81 micrograms per cubic meter – the level is considered dangerous above 50.
