Switzerland could unblock further Egyptian funds
Switzerland is moving to unblock Egyptian funds seized after the fall of the former dictator Hosni Mubarak in 2011.
The Swiss Attorney General, Michael Lauber, has been meeting with his Egyptian counterpart in Cairo. Around CHF 180m has already been returned, nearly CHF 500m remain frozen.
Six people are currently being investigated by Swiss authorities form alleged money laundering, seven have had proceedings dropped.
The Swiss government have until February to decide to release the money or extend the seizure.
